To the KKI Family

Sometime ago, I was asked by Juergen Gerber and Loren Powers if I would write a short devotional for our KKI website. Thanks for giving me this opportunity to connect with all those I care so much about, far and near, and it certainly is a lot less expensive thank traveling!!!!

Living here in Norway, where it gets dark so early at this time of year, we are enjoying the warmth and cozy atmosphere of candles and we have our lights on often during the daylight hours. As I was doing the dishes this morning, and straining to see, even with the lights on, the most obvious thing to do of course, was to change the light bulbs! I was also scurryingaround, packing up to leave for the birth of our second grandchild, and my thoughts were all scattered; I just wasn't getting anything done at all! I hadn't been taking the time I needed in God's Word to get quiet before the Lord to gain perspective.

"The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until the full light of day."

Yes, my light bulb needed changing ~ I needed to slow down and take time for what was most important. I needed to stop trying to run on near "close to empty" or straining to see because I wasn't letting His word be "that lamp unto my feet and light unto my way."

Hope this is helpful!

Dale and I thank each one of you from the depths of our hearts for your love and commitment to the Lord, to each other. and to those He loves so unreservedly.

Keeping you Always in His Capable, Loving Care,
